Our Story
February 23, 2025, will mark the first anniversary of the civil wedding that united two people. Two lives that searched for each other through time and crossed paths in Copenhagen, with two beers that neither of them finished drinking. It's been almost four years since then, filled with joy, happiness, and support during the toughest moments. Two lives thousands of kilometers away from their worlds could only have come this far driven by love and a full conviction to walk hand in hand every day. They promised each other to reach a place known only to them, and they both know they will love each other every day until their promise is fulfilled in front of that sunset. There is no doubt about that. For now, it is time to celebrate the journey and surround themselves with all their loved ones to share their happiness on this very special day.

Adventure at Xplor 🌴
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience one of the top adventure parks in the Riviera Maya, featuring zip lines, amphibious vehicles, underground river swims, and more.
Perfect for adrenaline and nature lovers!
Details: Tickets to the park must be purchased individually (each guest is responsible for their own ticket), either at the park upon arrival or in advance through the official website: https://www.xplor.travel/en/xplor-entry/. The second option is more economical.
We will depart as a group from the Barceló Maya Palace hotel (meeting point: reception) in pre-arranged transportation and return the same way. Please have breakfast before boarding the transportation and wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

A day to relax and recharge!
The hotel offers complimentary equipment and rentals for water activities. Most activities require prior registration at the activity station.
The hotel also organizes various activities throughout the day. A list of activities and their schedules will be available at the reception desk upon arrival.
Note for guests not staying at the Barceló Resort:
You can purchase a Day Pass to access the hotel. The cost is 2,500 MXN (approx. 125 USD), which grants access to the hotel facilities from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, including services, food, and beverages. Day Passes can be purchased at the hotel reception on the day of entry.
Icebreaker at the Barceló Resort 💃

We’ll start with welcome cocktails at a semi-open restaurant with ocean views.
If you love teppanyaki grills, dinner will follow at the Japanese restaurant located near the Barceló Resort Mall.

Details: We’ll meet at 7:30-7:45 PM at the Barceló Maya Palace reception. A hotel shuttle will take us to the icebreaker location. You may also choose to walk; it’s a 15-minute walk within the resort.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for! 🥹 While we’re keeping the surprises under wraps, here are some key times to keep in mind:
• Transportation to the venue:
3:15 PM – Meet at the Barceló Maya Palace reception. A private shuttle will take guests to Blue Venado Paamul.
Notes for Guests:
• Guests staying at other sections of the Barceló Resort: Please meet at the Maya Palace reception and allow extra time for transportation.
• Guests staying outside the Barceló Resort: Please arrange transportation through your hotel or a pre-booked service (e.g., agency). Avoid hailing taxis on the street.

Hard Rock All Inclusive Resort in Riviera Maya: 5-star complex with a family hotel and an Adults-Only hotel. Offers many entertainment options. Rates higher than the Barceló complex.
Catalonia Riviera Maya Hotel - OFFICIAL WEBSITE - Catalonia Hotels & Resorts: Hotel within a smaller complex, with rocky-type beaches and more economical rates.
Both hotels are close to the wedding venue; however, guests will need to arrange their own transportation to/from the venue. Similarly, it is recommended to book directly through the hotel website.
Regardless of the accommodation option you choose, we highly recommend booking as early as possible, as availability is not guaranteed and prices are likely to increase after summer.

Flights
To find cheap flights, we recommend buying in advance. The wedding will take place in Riviera Maya, which is best connected with the airports of Cancun and Tulum.
Flights from Europe:
- Cancun Airport: The most direct way to fly to Cancun from Europe is with the bi-weekly flights from Brussels Airport to Cancun with TUI Fly, as well as from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
- Mexico City: From Europe, you can fly to Mexico City from Amsterdam Schiphol, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Madrid, and Frankfurt. Then, take a domestic flight from Mexico City to Cancun.
Flights from Mexico:
- Good connections from all major Mexican cities such as Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Querétaro.
Flights from the USA:
- Well connected from all major airports in the USA.
We suggest buying a flight with a baggage-inclusive fare at the same time as purchasing the ticket to save money or at least 5 days before the flight.

Tips to enjoy the beautiful Riviera Maya during your stay in Mexico

Chichen Itza Archaeological Site
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its impressive ancient Mayan ruins. This beautiful pyramid is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Don’t miss it!
Known for its well-preserved Mayan ruins located on cliffs overlooking the stunning turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Don’t miss it!
Go snorkel and admire the beautiful natural “pools”. A cenote is a natural sinkhole resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. These natural wonders are often filled with crystal-clear and freshwater. The Yucatán Peninsula alone has an estimated of 10,000 cenotes –
choose the ones you like.
P.S. for the people who have Divers Permits: three of the world’s longest underwater cave systems with a length of up to 129 km can be found at the Riviera Maya. One of them belongs to the most spectacular ones with 56 km – Dos Ojos, which means “two eyes”, describing the two circular shaped cenotes shining in daylight.

Xcaret Parks is a group of eco-archaeological parks and attractions located in the Riviera Maya region. The park offers a mix of natural attractions, cultural experiences, and adventure activities.
